Programme for Active Learning
PAL helps Primary 1 and 2 students discover new interests and build social-emotional skills through hands-on learning in sports, arts, and outdoor education.
Programme for Active Learning (PAL)
The Programme for Active Learning (PAL) provides Primary 1 and Primary 2 students with engaging, hands-on experiences that support their holistic development during the important early years of schooling.
At Sembawang Primary School, our school-based PAL curriculum is thoughtfully designed to provide meaningful opportunities for students to explore, collaborate and create through joyful and experiential learning.
PAL complements classroom learning by nurturing students' confidence, curiosity, resilience and teamwork while developing important social-emotional competencies through authentic experiences.
Learning Through Experience
Students participate in learning experiences across four domains:
Sports and Games
Outdoor Education
Performing Arts
Visual Arts
Through these experiences, students develop confidence, communication, collaboration and creativity while learning to appreciate their own strengths and the contributions of others.
Building Lifelong Learners
Our PAL curriculum encourages students to learn through exploration, reflection and collaboration. As students participate in meaningful and enjoyable experiences, they develop positive learning dispositions, build lasting friendships and strengthen the values that support them throughout their learning journey
