Form Teacher Guidance Period (FTGP)
Form Teacher Guidance Period serves as the cornerstone of Character Education at SBPS. Through carefully sequenced lessons, students engage in meaningful discussions, collaborative learning and reflective activities that strengthen their values, social-emotional competencies and decision-making skills.
Teachers are supported through common lesson resources, collaborative planning and professional sharing to ensure rich and meaningful learning experiences across all levels.
Character and Citizenship Education (Mother Tongue Language)
Character Education is reinforced through students' Mother Tongue Languages, where authentic conversations enable students to appreciate values within their cultural context. Through meaningful discussions and reflection, students develop empathy, strengthen their sense of identity and learn to communicate respectfully with others.
Positive Teacher–Student Relationships
Positive relationships are central to our Character Education programme. Through regular one-to-one interactions and daily classroom engagements, teachers intentionally build trusting relationships with students, creating a safe environment where every child feels known, supported and encouraged to grow.
SBPS STAR
SBPS STAR celebrates students who consistently demonstrate the school's values in their daily actions. By recognising positive behaviours and encouraging peer affirmation, the programme nurtures a caring school culture where students inspire one another to live out the values of Care, Curiosity, Excellence, Gratitude, Integrity and Resilience.
